After the rave reviews about our activities, menus and outdoor beauty, people just love how simple it is to get here, how easy it is to park and the freedom to roam the private grounds here at Liberty Lake.
Located in Columbus (but it’s called Bordentown on your GPS), NJ with an exit right off Route 295, Liberty Lake Picnic is a travelers’ dream. Since many picnic goers are coming from well out of town, having a place that’s easy to find is a big plus if you’re planning a family reunion, corporate, religious or other organizational event.
The dream lives on when people arrive to find they can park their cars on site for free. Yes, on site, for free. There are no distant lots with shuttle buses on loops far away from the action. Visitors can park on our grounds and get right to their party.
When visitors learn that our entire 60 acres is on private grounds, they can immerse themselves in a serene feeling all day long. Parents love it, organizers love it, as well as every guest who visits us.
Liberty Lake Picnic is also fully staffed. From the minute you and your guests arrive, our staff is here to make sure our location feels like yours.
Below are directions from various points. Please note that most GPS units and Google Maps will put you on the wrong side of 295 if you use our mailing address. Please use the following address for navigation:

From Route 295 North & South
- Take exit 52A onto Florence-Columbus Road (Rt. 543 East)
- Travel 1/4 mile and Liberty Lake is located on the left (about 1/10 of a mile after the traffic light)
- Camp is not visible from the road, but look for the Liberty Lake sign and turn left onto our long driveway.
From 206 North
- Take Rt. 206 North past the Columbus Market.
- Just after the Market, veer right into the town of Columbus.
- Make a left turn at the light, onto Florence-Columbus Road.
- Travel approximately 2.25 miles and Liberty Lake is located on the right (almost immediately after the bend).
- Camp is not visible from the road, but look for the Liberty Lake sign and turn right onto our long driveway.
From Mercer County
- Get on Rt. 295 South, either at Rt. 1 or Sloan Avenue.
- Take exit 52A towards Florence-Columbus Road (Rt. 543 East).
- Travel 1/4 mile and Liberty Lake is located on the left (about 1/10 of a mile after the traffic light).
- Camp is not visible from the road, but look for the Liberty Lake sign and turn left onto our long driveway.
From Pennsylvania Turnpike
- Cross Turnpike Bridge into New Jersey (turns into NJ Turnpike).
- Take first exit after bridge-Florence/Rt. 130.
- Turn right onto Rt. 130 North, go the first traffic light and make a right onto Florence-Columbus Road.
- Travel approximately 3 miles and Liberty Lake is located on the left (about 1/10 of a mile after the traffic light at Columbus Road).
- Camp is not visible from the road, but look for the Liberty Lake sign and turn left onto our long driveway.
From North Jersey/New York
- Take the New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 7.
- Take Rt. 206 South.
- Get on Rt. 295 South and travel 3 miles.
- Take exit 52A towards Florence-Columbus Road (Rt. 543 East).
- Travel 1/4 mile and Liberty Lake is located on the left (about 1/10 of a mile after the traffic light).
- Camp is not visible from the road, but look for the Liberty Lake sign and turn left onto our long driveway.
